MUSIC at JOPES MILL 22
2nd and 3rd July
4pm to 8pm
The gardens at Jopes Mill will be alive with classical and folk music for two days. Enjoy music you know, and perhaps discover something new.
We have brought together a line up of fantastic musicians to perform some music you'll know, and some you won't. Be prepared to be surprised - music might pop up in odd places! Featuring over the weekend will be the MJM22 Chamber Ensemble, Duo Lamorniana, the Molendini String Quartet, and a set from the amazing Finn Collinson Band. 4pm to 8pm each day. There will be a bar selling beer, wine and soft drinks. For tickets click here.

Programme to include:
Mozart's joyful oboe quartet starts an afternoon packed with virtuoso pieces for wind instruments. You will also hear concertos for flute and bassoon as well as a final one for flute and oboe together. Duo Lamorniana will play a range of familiar and less well known pieces for viola and piano. The Molendini Quartet will play music by Puccini and Schumann
Mozart features again on the Sunday with the wonderful quintet for clarinet and strings. The MJM22 Ensemble will play Ravel's haunting Pavane, and then change the mood to have fun with Debussy's Petite Suite. New for 2022 is our young talent slot - this year featuring the amazing Tarantellers. The Finn Collinson Band will finish the day.
Both days will feature the Valley Trail, where you will find music happening around the gardens and woods, and amongst the waterlilies. There will be a few musical surprises and additions too!
Admission is by ticket available in advance - there won't be tickets on the day. Tickets for each day are £15 (£5 for 11-16s) and can be purchased here. (Two-day tickets are £25 and £8). Children 10 and under go free.
You are very welcome to bring a picnic - there will be a bar selling wine, beer and soft drinks (courtesy of The Copley, Hessenford)
The car park is a 20 min walk from Jopes Mill - it's a lovely walk along the valley. There is a drop off point close by if you need it. If you have mobility issues please contact us and we will try to help.
We don't provide seating but you are welcome to bring your own.
If it rains we will still go ahead - we have an excellent canvas awning - but the programme will be shortened.
Children are very welcome but must be supervised at all times - the River Seaton runs through the garden and is not fenced.
